As an RN, Master Sound Healer, and Clinical Sound Therapist with certification in Sound Therapy from Globe Sound and Consciousness Institute in San Francisco, I know the science behind the effects that certain sounds, instruments, frequencies, and music have on your body, mind, emotions, and spirit. I have studied the science behind what a treatment on the vibroacoustic bed does for your body.  I take a full intake history on each client and design a custom treatment plan specific to each client's needs.  I know and understand the effects that each sound, frequency, binaural beat or piece of music will have on each client.  I choose my instruments, frequencies, and music for the maximum healing benefits for each individual's needs.  Let me design a custom session for you!

Barbara Spaulding, RN, BSN, Certified Master Sound Healer, Clinical Sound Therapist, Hypnotist

 

Ms. Spaulding has over 250 hours of training and 10 years of experience in Sound Healing Therapy. She received her certification from the Globe Sound and Consciousness Institute in San Francisco, California in 2012. She continued her studies with John Stuart Reid English acoustics engineer, scientist, and inventor of the Cymascope Pro, who has studied the world of sound for over 30 years investigating sound as a formative force and discovering why sound heals. Ms. Spaulding combines her years of training and experience in both Sound Therapy and Nursing to create a practice that is grounded in science, along with the physical, mental, spiritual, and energetic principles of sound, vibration, and music. Her sound therapy treatments are a groundbreaking combination of sound healing instruments and vibroacoustic sound bed therapy. She also has developed a cutting-edge therapy combining Sound Healing and Hypnosis. Barbara’s own personal experience with pain led her to explore Sound Healing and its techniques. Through Sound Healing Therapy she has found natural pain relief, spiritual development, and a way to help others live better lives. 


Prior to her career as a Certified Master Sound Healer and Clinical Sound Therapist, Barbara Spaulding received her Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Nursing from the University of Arizona.  She holds an active nursing license in Florida and New York. Barbara has 35+ years of Nursing experience and 17 years as a Director of Youth Ballet Company and School in upstate New York.  During her nursing career, she has worked with patients and students in many areas of medicine.  She has also directed two government grants to train nurses who work with people with developmental disabilities. As a nurse, she has worked with many people with painful conditions, injuries, and syndromes.  As a nurse and a former dancer, she is familiar with the body, its anatomy, and physiology, along with diseases and injuries.   Ms. Spaulding is also a certified hypnotist and has been a student of Yoga Science, Meditation, and Relaxation Techniques.  She is familiar with the Chakra centers of the body and can help her clients balance those centers. Ms. Spaulding offers private sessions, group sessions, Sound Healing concerts, lectures, and Sound Healing Practitioner Certificate Trainings. Ms. Spaulding is also a member of the Medical Sound Association working with Doctors, Scientists, Therapists, Sound Healers, and more to develop and standardize Sound Therapy treatments to use in hospitals and clinics throughout the world.

  • Two-person appointments include the Sound Bed, Targeted Frequencies, Live Sound Bath with over 50 world sound healing instruments, and Psychoacoustic music. One person is on the Sound Bed, the other listens while lying in a zero-gravity chair. Afterward, they switch places and the second person lies on the Sound Bed and experiences Psychoacoustic Music on the sound bed while the first person lies in the zero gravity chair and listens. $175

  • Extra-person or persons attending another's private session lies in a zero gravity chair and listens. $35 per person. Up to 5 people

People have been asking about small group sessions with their friends and family.  What a great idea! Sound Healing is now offering private customized small group sessions at the studio.

 

Do you have a small group of friends, relatives, or coworkers who would enjoy a group sound healing meditation or concert? Looking for a unique activity to share?  Girls' day out together?  

 

Group sessions are perfect for meditating, clearing, relieving stress, and anxiety, increasing productivity, and bringing in balance, and clarity.  Perfect for significant life events such as marriage, birthdays, etc.   A unique loving, relaxing, and healing experience to share with friends and loved ones.  The session will be customized for you and your group, using quartz crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and all of my sound healing instruments. Choose a sound immersion concert or a guided chakra balancing meditation, both of which can be customized for your group.

"I am an eighty six year old man who has had seven fractures of the spine and back surgery.  I also have several other painful issues with my back.  I had surgery in May of 2013 but was still in pain and taking pain medications for relief.  I bought a package of six treatments.  I didn't know what to expect, I had never heard of Sound Therapy, Crystal Singing Bowls, or Vibroacoustics but after the first treatment I felt so good that I was hooked.  After two treatments I was telling all my friends and family about the Crystal Bowls their sounds, vibrations, and how I saw beautiful colors during my treatments.  On the fourth treatment I was in such a deep relaxed state that I felt I was floating like an angel.  After being on the bed my pain was less than it had been in years.  Since starting my treatments in April of 2014 I only take an aspirin a day.  I love the treatments and can’t wait to go each time.  My quality of life has improved so much.  I have told countless people about what for me seems to be a miraculous treatment for pain.  Barb is an amazingly caring and gifted healer."
