My Story

As a Registered Nurse, I have worked with many people who were experiencing many types of pain; watching as they became depressed and dependent on pain medications, injections or just suffering without either.

I, personally, have suffered from severe Fibromyalgia for twenty years.  Before finding Sound Therapy the pain had increased to the point that I needed to be on narcotic pain medication every day, all day, in order to even begin to function.  It was difficult to lie down, sit, stand, walk or sleep without these potent pain medications.  It was impossible to work and focus on anything.  My mind was a blur.  When I began to get sick, I had to leave behind the school of ballet that I had founded and run for 16 years. I stayed on the pain medication for years and thought I would be on them for the rest of my life. Nothing else helped with my pain.

Then I found Sound Therapy.  I was watching Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, an Oncologist, demonstrating his use of Crystal Singing Bowl music to help reduce the pain of his Cancer patients. It was fascinating and I wondered if it could help me with my Fibromyalgia?

I did my research, began treatments using Vibroacoustic Therapy, Cymatherapy, Crystal Singing Bowls, and Voice Toning sessions, and I was soon able to get off all the pain medication. In addition, with the brain entrainment techniques used in Sound Healing, I am finally able to get Delta sleep or NREM sleep (something Fibromyalgia patients don't get), which is the deep sleep that is crucial for tissue repair and the production of growth hormone. I am pain-free and living a  full life with a clear mind.

After completing the training to become a Sound Therapist at the Globe Sound and Consciousness Institute in San Francisco, California, I am now able to help others experience the many benefits of Sound Therapy, to help them live a more fulfilling, pain-free life.
